D. Lawrence Br. Sextets

Don Lawrence

Described as a "local legend," Don Lawrence hails from Columbia Falls, Montana.

BrassWerks, formed in 1975 as the Flathead Valley Brass Sextet, was founded by Montana trombonist and arranger Don Lawrence.  The ensemble performs an extensive repertoire of light classics, show tunes, big band, ragtime, marches, spirituals-- and more.

The group's dedicated musicians are very serious about producing fine music, and desire to preserve and promote the wonderful sound of a small brass ensemble.  The musicians are Marty Weimer and B.J. Lupton, trumpets;  Dana Scranton, flugelhorn;  Jim Lehner, trombone;  Allen Slater, euphonium;  Steve Youmans, tuba;  Jack Waller, percussion;  and Dianne Guenther, vocals.  Booking agent is B.J. Lupton.
